The four properties Captiva Seaclusion, Hideaway Captiva,
Captiva Treetops and Little Treehouse are collectively known as the "Captiva Sunrise

This is a wonderful area for children and pets. Bring your kayak or

Sound. Explore Buck Key, go to lunch by boat or visit other areas of

The Captiva Sunrise Property is one of the few original
Captiva properties left undeveloped on the island of Captiva. The owner
insists on privacy for each of the homes and wildlife thrives throughout
the acreage.
The original houses stay cool in summer and warm in
winter because they are on the ground not built on stilts, which makes
them wheelchair accessible. Elevated (above ground) houses allow the
ambient air to surround them thereby causing the hot air of summer to heat
the house on top, bottom and all sides causing the house to assume the
surrounding outside temperature. The same holds true for cold days in
winter. However, if the home is on the ground the warm earth keeps the
house warm in winter and cools it in summer.
